Stars I

Mondays 4:45 PM - 5:55 PM - Baton & Pom combo class August 2026 - May 2027

Students ages 7-10 learn intermediate baton twirling skills along with ballet & jazz dance through high-energy choreography. 

Student Prerequisite: 2 years + experience, correct flourish & thumb toss. Dance experience is highly recommended. 

Dress code detailed in waivers. 

Performance: Two parade performances in November Veteran’s Day Parade / December Porterville Christmas Parade, Holiday Performance Winter Wonderland Tulare. Two performances in the spring Porterville Fair & Spin Academy Recital. 

Students must purchase a baton, poms, costume for parade/recital, and Christmas parade sweater & accessories. 

Kinder I Baton & Pom combo

Mondays 6:00 PM - 6:50 PM August 2026 - May 2027

Students age 5-6 learn the fundamentals of baton twirling & jazz pom dance in this combo class. Class segments include stretching, movement across the floor, baton twirling, pom dance, and novice gymnastics. 

Dress code detailed in waivers. 

Performance: Two parade performances in November Veteran’s Day Parade / December Porterville Christmas Parade, Holiday Performance Winter Wonderland Tulare. Two performances in the spring Porterville Fair & Spin Academy Recital.

Juniors I Baton & Pom Combo

Mondays 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM Juniors I Baton & Pom Combo August 2026 - May 2027

Students age 12-18 learn baton twirling along with ballet & jazz dance fundamentals through fast-paced choreography for many performances. All levels welcome. Class segments include stretching, across the floor movement, baton twirling, pom dance, and level-appropriate body work.

Two-Baton 

Tuesdays 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Students 9+ learn to twirl two batons simultaneously. An excellent class to develop dexterity and hand-eye coordination. This class will not perform in the parades, but will perform Holiday performance & recital.

Age 12+ middle school & high school advanced twirlers progressing skills in baton & dance.

Ballerinas Baton & Ballet Combo

Wednesdays 4:30 PM - 5:15 PM Baton

Students ages 2.5 - 5 learn introductory baton & ballet skills in a quick paced class that will cover stretching, movement across the floor, and two routines. Baton routines are performed in the parades & recitals. Ballet routine performed in holiday performance & recital performance.

Students age 8+ learn marching band style twirling & marching with all music selections being marching band. Special performances may include guest performances with local marching bands and band-a-rama. Open to all levels beginner - advanced.

Stars II Baton & Pom Combo

Thursday 5:00 PM

Students age 7-9 learn advancing baton twirling skills along with ballet & jazz dance through high-energy choreography. 

Student Prerequisite: 4 years + experience, catching 1-spins

Thursday 6:00 PM

Students age 8-10 learn intermediate baton twirling skills along with ballet & jazz dance through fast-paced choreography. Emphasis on developing more rolls, as well as precision in twirling.

Prerequisite: 3 + years experience, catches 1-spins. 

Dress code detailed in waivers. 

Performance: Two parade performances in November Veteran’s Day Parade / December Porterville Christmas Parade, Holiday Performance Winter Wonderland Tulare. Two performances in the spring Porterville Fair & Spin Academy Recital.

Diamonds II Baton & Pom Combo

Thursday 7:00 PM Diamonds II Baton & Pom Combo 

Students age 10-12 learn advanced baton twirling skills with ballet & jazz dance through high-energy choreography. Emphasis on precision in toss placements. Developing more rolls, and intricate trick catches. This class is a higher level of challenge for dedicated twirlers. 

Prerequisite: 4+ years experience, working on 2-spins + 

Dress code detailed in waivers. 

Performance: Two parade performances in November Veteran’s Day Parade / December Porterville Christmas Parade, Holiday Performance Winter Wonderland Tulare. Two performances in the spring Porterville Fair & Spin Academy Recital.

6:30 PM Private Lessons    

Winter Guard Competition Team $85/month

Competition students for SVWAA Winter Guard circuit - training begins in December. Competitions January- March. Lots of Extra practices anticipated. Wednesdays / Fridays/Saturdays pending gym rentals

May require purchase of additional equipment, Sabre, costume details depending on role in routine. Tuition fee covers membership & competition fees as well as equipment fees. Parents & spectators subject to pay entry at competitions. Exempt from multiple class discount

Juvenile Performing Group $85/month

By Special invitation to join small ensemble of dedicated students to develop advancing twirl & dance. Small group will have extra performance routine & themed costume in the spring. *Exempt from multiple class discount
